Ceramic is a preferred material for a small candleholder urn -- the fired clay is durable for holding ashes and can handle the heat of the candle. With a 30 cubic inch capacity, the Inner Light Ceramic Tealight Urn - Black is an extra small urn that can hold a portion of person's ashes (approximately 2 cups). The opening for this urn is at the bottom / base. Once ashes are placed inside, the ceramic cap / stopper should be affixed to the base with a ceramic-safe adhesive such as E9000 to provide a secure closure.
