The inner compartment of the Transitions Urn with Iris Stained Glass Panel is sized to hold the brass urn insert by Howard Miller (available for add-on purchase), the plastic urn container provided by many funeral homes, or an ash bag.
 
If you select the brass urn insert, please note that the insert has a permanent snap-lock closure and cannot be re-opened once ashes are placed inside. The capacity of the brass insert is 240 cubic inches, which would accommodate the ashes of a person who weighed 240 lbs. or less prior to cremation.
