American Heart Month - Stardust Memorials Cares

Feb 06, 2023

Raising awareness of heart disease, which is the leading cause of death for both men and women, takes center stage in February–American Heart Month. American Heart month was established in 1964 by President Lyndon B. Johnson; its goal is to spread knowledge to help people prevent heart disease and live a healthier life.

How to keep a strong healthy heart:

- Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables

- Limit your intake of salts, sugars and saturated fats

- Drink alcohol in moderation and quit smoking

- Manage your stress levels

- Exercise, exercise, exercise!

Take some extra time this month and focus on things to improve your heart.
