Description
The Fall Leaf Cloisonne Extra Small Urn for Ashes features beautiful shades of orange and dark red and an overall leaf design. This extra small urn is made using cloisonne techniques -- an ancient art form invented by the French and perfected by the Chinese. It is made from brass, copper, and colored enamel. Cloisonne is enameled with the colors, fired in a kiln, and gilded by hand. As a result of this meticulous process, every cloisonne piece is a beautiful, durable, and unique work of art.
At 60 cubic inches, the Fall Leaf Cloisonne Extra Small Urn is appropriate for holding a portion of ashes. Many families choose this urn when they are sharing ashes among several people. It will hold approximately 4 cups of ashes (which corresponds to about 60 lbs. prior to cremation). The lid on this urn sits on top. It can be sealed with adhesive, but it does not close via threading.
