The tile is designed and handmade by an American pottery artist -- she glazes the tile to bring out the design and fires it in a kiln. This cremation urn is handcrafted from solid walnut in the USA. Walnut wood is a popular and traditional choice for wood cremation urns as it is known for its rich color and strong grain and is a renewable resource. The tile used as an accent on this urn is made of fired clay. Overall this cremation urn is respectful, natural way to remember a loved one.
 
The Tree of Life Wooden Urn with Handmade Tile measures as an adult size cremation urn. The capacity is 202 cubic inches (can hold the ashes of a person who weighed 202 lbs. or less prior to cremation). The urn compartment is accessed from the bottom by removing the base, placing the ashes inside, and then re-securing the base with the four screws.
 
The Tree of Life Wooden Urn with Handmade Tile can be kept at home on a shelf, table, or mantel. Alternatively it can be placed in a columbarium niche or buried in the ground according to the family's wishes. An urn vault may be required by the cemetery for ground burial (each cemetery has its own regulations).
