Some families may need a cremation urn with a larger capacity. Extra large cremation urns hold more than 220 cubic inches of ashes and may range in capacity up to 400 cubic inches. Although it might seem that any adult over 220 lbs. would then need an extra large urn, the reality is that the extra large urns are most appropriate for tall and larger-boned individuals.
